We recommend that you spend as much time there as you need - to become familiar with the DMV legal requirements and to study the RULES OF THE ROAD and the RULES OF RIGHT OF WAY.

If you are a "TEEN" you will want to spent some time on the part of the DMV web-site devoted specifically to your age group. You will find information relevant to your legal requirements for becoming a licensed driver in the State of Connecticut. After reading the information presented on the DMV web-site, if you have any concerns or questions you may call us at: (203) 878 0918. Please leave a message if an office employee is not immediately available to speak with you directly. We will get back to you as soon as we receive your inquiry.
If you are over the age of 18...the State of Connecticut considers you to be an "ADULT". All adult students have specific legal requirements to become licensed drivers. Please read the information pertaining to "adult" students carefully. Make notes or print out pages if you need to keep specific information. All students wishing to be licensed - will need to know the following information. Please read carefully. Call us if necessary.
- Qualifying for a license test as well as successfully passing the license test is, today, MUCH more challenging than it was when your parents or older family members took the test for their licenses - perhaps many years ago. The task can be daunting and seem overwhelming when you first approach it.
- That is why WE ARE HERE FOR YOU. We have assisted many thousands of students over the last half century - as the times have changed...the laws have changed...and driving itself has changed.
Please note that...
- Everyone (regardless of age) applying for a license in the State of Connecticut MUST take an 8 HOUR course. There is information elsewhere on this site that explains this course in much more detail (see the DRUG & ALCOHOL information under the "MORE" drop-down menu). We recommend that you register for one of our course sessions as soon as you know that you must do this class. DO NOT expect the DMV personnel to inform you about this course. The requirements ARE explained on the DMV web-site - which is why we recommend that you spend time on THEIR site - www.ct.goc/dmv. IF there is anything that you do not understand or that confuses you...DO call us: (203) 878 0918 You can leave a message if you do not reach an office person. We cannot be there 24 hours each day - but we will return your call as soon as we get your message. Please help us do this by giving a preferred time you can be reached as well as TWO contact phone numbers (if possible).
- Teen students have restrictions that DO NOT apply to students over the age of 18. Parents must be involved in this process (there is a required Parent/Teen - 2 Hour Class). Again...you MUST spend time on the DMV web-site (in the specific "TEEN" area) to become generally familiar with the legal requirements. Keep notes - print out pages - and MOST IMPORTANT: download or print out the Connecticut Driver's Manual (English or Spanish) and be certain to study the RULES as well as SIGNS, SIGNALS, PAVEMENT MARKINGS...and any other information you will need to know when practicing for your test in a car. YOU CAN'T PLAY THE GAME SUCCESSFULLY OR SAFELY IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE RULES OF THE GAME.
- Again...if you have difficulty finding the information you need...or if you are confused and do not understand what you are reading...CALL US: (203) 878 0918
